Ordell Griffith oral history interview, 1994-1995.

Griffith discusses life in Baton Rouge in the early twentieth century and Louisiana State University between the 1930s and 1980s. She discusses the design and buildings of the LSU campus; several administrators, faculty members, and employees; admissions procedures; the enrollment of foreign students; racial integration; and student behavior. Griffith discusses admissions procedures at LSU and the handling of transfer credits and credits from unaccredited or foreign universities. She talks about conflicts with faculty, administrators and coaches over the admittance of students. She recounts her experiences with various faculty and administrators during her many years at LSU including John Hunter, Martin Woodin, Charles Coates, Albert Clary, Arthur Choppin, General Troy Middleton, Carl Maddox and others.
